WHAT YOU'LL
LEARN
Get equipped with the tools you need to study the Bible for the rest of your life, and be discipled straight from the Word.
You'll learn how to study the Bible using the Inductive Bible Study method, which draws on the historical and literary context of a book to accurately interpret it and guide you to meaningful application. You’ll also develop the skills to share the Bible with others through small group studies, preaching and teaching.

BIBLE READING RETREAT
During the Bible Core Course, you'll take a week away on the beautiful coast of Queensland for a Bible Reading Retreat. You'll grow in your understanding of the Lord as He's revealed himself in His Word, while also seeing His beauty & glory in Creation as you soak up stunning beaches.

PREREQUISITES
DTS
The Bible Core Course is one of our further training programs. The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is the only pre-requisite to this course.

Matt & Gwendy, who run the school together, are experienced leaders & teachers, with a deep love of the Word of God! They have run the Bible Core Course at YWAM Brisbane for over 7 years, and before that led various other schools within YWAM, here in Brisbane & in Europe.
Matt was a SBS leader in Europe for over 10 years before moving to Brisbane to work with Gwendy on the BCC. He has Bachelors & Honours degrees in Theology.
